Bold Move | A bride embraces bold colors for a day that's dressed to remember

Michelle Tanner & Gabe Fitton
May 19th, 2013; Legare Waring House

Looking at the palette of Michelle Tanner and Gabe Fitton’s wedding at the Legare Waring House, you wouldn’t guess the bride was initially hesitant about vibrant hues. Early on, she had envisioned subtle blushes for the affair, and the thought of using fuchsia made her a little nervous. But Luke Wilson of  WED encouraged her to reconsider. “He reminded me of the colors at our venue—the mossy trees, green grass, big white house—and to think of how our wedding colors would play off of those elements,” says Michelle. “I realized we needed something bold in our palette.”  The shade made appearances throughout the setting, from the flowers to the tablescapes to the bridesmaids’ dresses. “The interplay of the groomsmen in black tuxedos, me in my white gown, and the girls in their bright dresses made us all stand out against the avenue of oaks,” says Michelle. And isn’t a standout day what every couple wants?
