Joy Ride | A Mount Pleasant couple kicks off their Big Day by hopping on their beach bikes

Adrianne West & Tom Todoran

June 28, 2014

Sullivan’s Island

A decade after Tom jumped into an elevator with Adrianne to get her number, the avid beachgoers biked to their mid-morning wedding ceremony on Sullivan’s Island. After exchanging barefoot vows, the newlyweds and their 75 guests boarded the Palmetto Breeze catamaran for lunch on the water. At 6 o’clock that evening, all dressed in their finest and reconvened at the Planters Inn for a formal reception. “Our guests traveled from all over the country,” explains Adrianne, who lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, “so we wanted to show them all aspects of the city we love.”
