Christina & Evan | Lowndes Grove

When you keep ending up in the same spot and locking eyes with someone, it starts to become obvious that it’s meant to be. A coffee shop is where it all began for Christina and Evan back in college at Furman University. A four-year best friendship turned into three years on a more serious note—most of which were long-distance—that ended up back in Spartanburg (where they met). On a morning beach walk during a weekend vacay in Isle of Palms, Evan got on one knee for a private proposal. They headed back home on their golf cart turned engagement ride, and were greeted by both families and champagne (duh). Lowndes Grove was host to their southern wedding, chosen because of their proposal connection to Charleston, and Christina’s parents living in Mount Pleasant. Guests from all over were treated to a Lowcountry extravaganza with yummy eats, signature drinks, and a full night of dancing.

It’s all in the details. Christina dressed up her bouquet with her great grandmother’s rosary beads and also honored her paternal grandparents with a cardinal on her handkerchief. Their college friends brought their musical talents to the table during the ceremony and cocktail hour… how special! In the sweet images by Riverland Studios, you can see the cutest flower girl standing above the crowd to watch her aunt get married. Also take a peak at Christina’s Nana dancing with Evan’s friend; they thought she was going to fall, but Nana had a grand ol’ time. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Haight!
