Danielle and William met while the two were living in Columbia and continued the relationship for five years long-distance after she moved to Charleston. When his plans for a Halloween proposal got upended, William drove to the Holy City for a weekend visit, asking Danielle to marry him before going out for tacos to celebrate. Together with their three daughters, the couple shared an intimate wedding at White Point Garden. The family of five, who now live in Mount Pleasant, then gathered for lunch at The Palmetto Cafe in the courtyard of The Charleston Place hotel.
