Caroline and Sam met in pharmacy school at USC Columbia, going to a Gamecock baseball game for their first date. The couple dated long distance for two years while Sam took a job in San Francisco and Caroline moved to Charleston, later quarantining together in the Holy City. In October 2021, while exploring the Grand Tetons, Sam proposed underneath the “Wedding Tree.” More than 100 friends and family members attended their ceremony and reception at Merchants Hall, where signature cocktails inspired by their last names were served.
