Katie & Scott | The William Aiken House

Need a silver lining story? Here’s one: If it weren’t for Hurricane Katrina, Katie and Scott would have never met. When the cataclysmic storm him during Katie’s freshman year at Tulane University, she transferred to the University of Richmond, where she met Scott at a birthday party. Nine years later (and well into their life as a couple, obv), the pair were living in the Big Apple, and on a Christmastime jaunt to the New York Botanical Garden, Scott got down on one knee and popped the question in front of a sea of glistening Christmas trees. After she said “Yes!”, the two chose Katie’s hometown (Charleston, obv) and the William Aiken House for their nuptials. With the help of the team at A Tailor Made Event, they created an elegant affair with a solid dose of levity thanks to cameos from their cat Max (see some of that kitty-lovin’ here). Congratulations you two! Scroll on to see all of the pretty from Dana Cubbage.
