Bria Matchett & Cameron Robinett

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island
After a chance meeting in a bar, a bit of small talk, five years of courtship, and a backyard proposal, Virginia pair Bria and Cameron tied the knot at the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island in the most glamorous of fashions. Rich hues of magenta, hot pink, and gold came to life in everything from florals to tent draping for a timeless yet flirty look by A Charleston Bride. And goodness, would you look at that gold-covered cake by Jim Smeal; he’s the South’s maestro of buttercream for a reason for sure. Another love? The chic lounges with enormous floral arrangements that dripped with green amaranthus and colorful blooms and crystal chandeliers that hung from a clear top tent. The way the light cascaded down on the reception as the sun set over the ocean—it adds up to almost too much prettiness to handle. Get ready to pin away, all you color-loving brides.

Lindsey Shanks of A Charleston Bride cops to an obsession with her dog, Teddy. So when she spied like obsessives in Bria and Cameron (who are smitten with their pups Ayla and Winston), the planner thought to fashion life-size cutouts of the couple’s furballs for guests to pose with at their Kiawah wedding. Initially a preemptive move in case the pups were not formal wedding material, these cutouts proved so popular, the couple planted them in their home’s foyer. (Flip through the gallery above to spy the sweet setup.)
