TIE ONE ON: To add a hint of the wedding’s palette to the stationery suite, Atlanta’s Brighten My Day used hot pink string to secure a rustic twig to wedding invitations.

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY: Out-of-town guests were welcomed by a tote bag full of treats.

DAPPER DUDE: Engaging Events’ Judy Johnston polished off the groom’s handsome orange sherbet-hued ranunculus boutonniere with grey satin ribbon.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD: Engaging Events’ floral designer Judy Johnston fashioned a cheerful bridal bouquet using the bride’s favorite flower, ranunculus, in a range of hot colors from sunny yellow to fiery red.

PRETTY AS A PORTRAIT: Pearlann found her dream gown by Rivini at Bridals by Lori in Atlanta, where the couple lives. The bride’s top takeaway from planning her Big Day? “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”

DAZZLING DAMES: Pearlann gave attendants, the maid of honor, and her mother one directive when it came to their frocks: “I asked them to choose a warm, bright color,” she says. “And it worked! I loved the look.” As for the bride? She was radiant in a gown by Rivini.

SACRED SPOT: In addition to a bright, bold palette, Pearlann wanted to incorporate a rustic look into day’s décor, as well; the ceremony’s chuppah, constructed of sprawling branches, did so with aplomb.

POSY PALS: Raspberry-hued peonies tucked into Mason jars dressed the aisle.

WALK THE WALK: The mother of the bride, who played a large role in planning the wedding, helped escort Pearlann down the aisle, as well. “I have to give credit to my mom,” says the bride. “She completely understood my vision, and she and Cindy together brought that idea to fruition.”

JOYFUL TIMES: “We will always remember it as the most fun night of our lives,” says Pearlann Arnovitz. The bleached wood tones of the rustic chuppah were echoed with burlap table runners and tan escort cards.

CLEAR AS DAY: Engaging Events adhered escort cards to vintage window panes for an open, airy look. Below, they placed cards atop green split peas. “We use these boxes often to display escort envelopes using different mediums depending on the weddings’ colors and design,” says Jessi Martin of Engaging Events. In this case, it looked rustic, chic, and organic”

NAME THE PLACE: Atlanta calligrapher Cynthia Tyler used white ink to pen names on butler cards that were placed atop green lentils for color and texture.

HAPPY PAIR: The couple first connected on JDate.com over a shared love of the show “Seinfeld.” Pearlann’s dating profile name was “It’sTheMoops,” a joke from the television show. Andrew’s first email to Pearlann included the second half of the joke: “It’sTheMoors.”

AWE-INSPIRED: Tablescapes mimicked the colorful floral spread that inspired the day’s aesthetic.

AU NATUREL: The bride and groom chose The Island House on John’s Island for its lush, natural look. “We didn’t want anything that looked too manicured,” Pearlann says of the setting. An added bonus? The venue backs up to the Stono River—a view wedding-goers were able to enjoy throughout the evening.

RIGHT THIS WAY: The mother of the bride requested that high-heeled attendees had firm ground to walk on at the reception, so Pleasant Landscapes constructed this winding stone path that led to the bar.

ABOVE AND BEYOND: Glass balls holding faux tealight candles dangled from Event DRS’ rustic twig chandelier.

BOLD BUDS: Adding intrigue to the floral design, Judy Johnston mixed towering arrangements with daintier blooms throughout the reception.

DINE IN: Reception florals in the evening’s color scheme popped against dark-stained wooden appointments, burlap table runners, and white linens.

SIMPLE TOUCHES: Table numbers penned onto kraft paper matched the look of dinner menus, while flowers were tucked into clear vessels of varying shapes and sizes.

DIG IN! Mosaic Catering served guests a three-course meal of fresh fare, including steak—the couple’s favorite. “It was all so delicious at the tasting, and they managed to make it just as amazing for 230 people the night of the wedding!” says Pearlann.

POSY PERFECT: Mokara orchids, raspberry-hued peonies, and orange dahlias brightened up the neutral hues of reception tablescapes.

COVER UP: Patio umbrellas lent shade to outdoor seating and added to the backyard bash vibe of the Big Day.

TAKE A SEAT: Bright pillows drew the evening’s palette into the lounge areas that surrounded the dance floor.

GET COZY: Adding color (and comfort), citrus- and berry-toned pillows lined benches.

IF THE SHOE FITS: Flip-flop favors matched the evening’s color scheme and offered female guests a reprieve from high heels. “Our absolute favorite part of the night was all the dancing,” says Pearlann. “Andrew and I were on the dance floor for about 95 percent of the night and loving every second of it.”

ABOUND IN LOVE: The couple dated for more than five years, during which Pearlann was in medical school and Andrew was in law school. “I don't think there was one thing that made me think Andrew was ’the one,’” says the bride of her groom. “I just think we’re extremely compatible, and Andrew is truly my best friend.”

SPARKLE AND SHINE: As the sun set, sweeping strands of bulb lights lit the grassy lawn. “The Island House was the first venue we saw,” explains Pearlann, who grew up visiting the Lowcountry often to see family.

SHOWING OFF: Exposed roots and leaves added to the rustic charm of arrangements.

LOOKING SHARP: A setup by Barnwood Bar Rentals added eye appeal the reception’s bars.

Inspiration: it always strikes when you least expect it. Take the case of Pearlann Arnovitz, for example, who stumbled upon the dream colors for her Big Day during an ordinary visit to her mother’s house. “She had out this gorgeous spread of ranunculus in fuchsia, hot pink, and orange,” recalls Atlanta native Pearlann. “I knew immediately those flowers held the look I wanted,” she says. After hiring event designer Cindy Zingerella and floral maven Judy Johnston, both of Engaging Events, those happy hues sprang to life at the verdant outdoor venue The Island House on John’s Island when Pearlann said “I do” to her sweetheart, New Jersey native Andrew Rosenzweig, whom she met on JDate.com some six years prior. “The day was more incredible than I could have imagined,” Pearlann says.
