David Strickland & Michelle Ramos

April 23, 2016

Though registered nurse Michelle and family medicine resident David would have likely met at some point at MUSC, where they both work, it was through Match.com that the couple first connected. “We both knew by the end of our second date that we were going to be serious about each other,” says Maryland native Michelle. After a year-and-a-half-long courtship—during which the pair spent many a night chatting and laughing on Michelle’s historic rental apartment’s charming front porch—David, who hails from Columbia, South Carolina, popped the question while sitting on “their bench” in White Point Garden. Ten months later, the Mount Pleasant couple, who will soon move to Lexington, South Carolina, married and celebrated with a reception at the Sandcastle Community Center on Kiawah Island.
