After Jackie and Nathan met at the Coastal Carolina Fair in 2018, the two instantly connected and went on their first date, becoming inseparable. Following a dinner at Circa 1886, Nathan proposed under the gazebo at White Point Garden, recruiting two MUSC guide dogs to present the engagement ring. The ceremony was held at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, followed by a reception in the Lenhardt Garden at the Gibbes Museum of Art.
