MUSC nurse Joni swiped right on Matt, a program manager for a Navy defense contractor, after finding his profile on Bumble. After hitting it off on a first date at Triangle Char & Bar, the two dated for just over a year, sharing a romantic winery-hopping anniversary trip to Asheville (where Joni expected a proposal). Matthew would end up surprising her by popping the question after their visit, getting down on one knee in their kitchen. The two were wed by one of Matt’s closest friends, celebrating with friends and family under a beautiful sunset at the Charleston Yacht Club.
