Brian was friends and coworkers with Evan for six years at a Manhattan accounting firm before moving to Charleston in 2018. Realizing their shared feelings, Evan soon followed, and Brian proposed during a family vacation to Bermuda. The pair had a small wedding in May 2020 with their closest friends and family, postponing a larger celebration due to COVID. This spring, they went all out, hosting a reception at the Daniel Island Country Club, with more than 100 guests dancing the night away and Pat Monahan, lead singer of Train, serenading the newlyweds over Zoom.
