Wando High School sweethearts Emily and Drew had been close friends long before realizing they had feelings for each other. The pair loved to play sports and enjoyed many boating adventures together. During a beach week with Emily’s family in 2019, Drew proposed during a romantic stroll along the shore. Later that evening, they had to call firefighters to cut off the ring because it was stuck on Emily‘s finger, making for an even more memorable engagement. The couple exchanged their vows (complete with four-legged friend, Hunley) during a ceremony at Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant and danced the night away to tunes spun by DJ Stephen Darby.
