Color was in abundance on the tablescapes. The name cards were a nod to the couple’s engagement on a beach filled with butterflies.
Unexpected surprises and over-the-top maximalism were the themes that threaded throughout Anna and Dylan’s Lowndes Grove wedding. The bridal party went all out with individual designer gowns, sequins, and feathers.
Anna designed all the signage, including the stationery and save-the-date cards.

For the cocktail hour, in addition to drinks and mingling were also surprise interactive elements, including backgammon boards.
They even had a tarot card reader stationed in a teepee near the water, telling fortunes to those curious enough to wander in.
The Bearded Florists’ lush arrangements dripped from trees, down the stairwell, and were mixed throughout.
The golden dinosaur bride and groom cake toppers that Anna sourced. Even the nude cake by Patrick Properties presented the unexpected: the main layer was raspberry and the icing banana flavor.
The largest installation sprawled across the reception tent ceiling in a spectacular organic and asymmetrical manner. Incorporated into the tablescapes to add a touch of unexpected whimsy were a variety of brass figurine creatures.
Disco balls played up the glitz and glam, while other accents—including the romantic swing bed from Ooh! Events—hit the eclectic Southern garden party vibe the couple had hoped for. In addition to sparkle, Anna worked with The Bearded Florist to select a broad color palette that blended bright corals and pinks, oranges, yellows, and lavender set against moody burgundy, navy, and dark green.
