Florals played an important role in the wedding aesthetic—such as the rose arch where the couple exchanged vows—so Morgan chose a gown with bell sleeves, delicate flower detailing, and a matching veil. While sophisticated, the structure of the dress was perfect for the bride’s playful personality. “The overall fit of the dress was great because it was loose and chill on top and fitted on the bottom—very comfortable and super fun,” Morgan says.
Red florals in the backyard echoed the interior’s holiday decor.
Guest bags filled with nostalgic treats from Knoxville and Tuscaloosa tied into the couple’s love story. Burlap bags featured cookies in the shape of Tennessee and Alabama and chips from Charleston.
Before the ceremony, bridesmaids donned red sets from Etsy to coordinate with the bride’s feathered pajamas.
An abundance of cozy nooks allowed for ample seating during the reception. “I knew I wanted a Christmas vibe, but I didn’t want everyone to feel like they had just walked into the North Pole—I was thinking more of a fun holiday party with bright lights and glitz,” Morgan says. Varying shades of green were spiced up with twinkle lights and touches of gold.
The coconut and lemon cake by Jim Smeal was a hit.
A customized bar featured a selection of the couple’s favorite Bourbon and martinis.
