Jazmine and Will’s wedding weekend brought their nearest and dearest to a special place in their love story: Kiawah Island. “We wanted to show our guests the island through our eyes,” Jazmine says.
A small worry doll that resembled their dog River was among the bride’s day-of essentials. “When I felt nerves bubbling up, I gave it a good squeeze!”
Kiawah’s River Course Clubhouse created a distinctive backdrop for the October wedding.
Coastal decor and lush greenery suited the Lowcountry landscape, while jasmine vines woven into the chandelier and around the cake stand represented Jazmine and Will’s favorite time in Charleston: when the vine’s blooms perfume the air each May.
The couple has been known to collect Kiawah Island Club’s cups at home. They tracked the producer down and custom-ordered a batch for their big day.
