After meeting through a mutual friend, Melissa and Sam reconnected at Charleston City Paper’s “Best Of” party (Sam is the paper’s web editor, and the law firm Melissa works for won an award). Three years later, Sam proposed over a cozy dinner at Trattoria Lucca, one of their favorite downtown spots, and the two were soon married at St. Luke’s Chapel. A reception followed at the Governor Thomas Bennett House.
