STAND OUT: “By having a wedding planner, I was able to do the fun stuff, like pick out invitations,” says Kathryn. She opted for Cheree Berry Paper, available in Charleston through mac & murphy.

WARM WELCOME: Blossoms Events filled a cast-iron urn with copious garden roses, hydrangea, spirea, viburnum, and various greens for a verdant, natural look that melded with the estate’s plantings.
PRINCESS BRIDE: Kathryn adorned her Stuart Laurence Salon-styled locks with a bejeweled bridal hairpiece by Australian brand Shut the Front Door. “I found the accessories group randomly on Pinterest and was instantly obsessed,” she says.

TODDLERS & TWEENS: Tucker toted a toy truck for his ring “pillow;” the bride designed Kate’s flower girl dress.
PICTURE PERFECT: “Walking down the aisle, all I could see and hear was Micah,” says Kathryn.

WALKABOUT: Strolling Fenwick Hall’s tree-lined allées reminded the two of Micah’s Central Park proposal. “It was after his West Point ring ceremony, so we both got our rings on the same day,” laughs Kathryn.

BLACK & WHITE: Caterers served Moscow Mules with birch tree-patterned paper straws.
DECO DELIGHT: The bar looked like an art installation with its chalkboard-paint globes, laser-cut butterflies, and striped drum shade.
COLOR WARS: “I wanted black and white for a modern feel,” says Kathryn. “Green came into play so the décor would feel at home within nature.”

FASHION PLATE: A graduate of Parsons The New School for Design, Kathryn had a clear idea of what she wanted to wear. She sketched her dress out and enlisted designer Bernardo Aguayo to bring it to life. “My favorite part was the leather bodice,” Kathryn says. “It was my little secret. No one believed that it was leather until they touched it!” She also had a hand in the dance floor pattern and sent sample ideas to Calder’s team for the custom creation.

PATTERN MAGIC: The checkerboard design on the geometric masterpiece by Wedding Cakes by Jim Smeal riffed off patterns and colors from the invitation suite, the dance floor tiles, and more.
TEAM SPIRIT: Revelry met rivalry as Micah’s fellow West Point grads cheered the newlyweds on their way with custom “Go Army! Beat Navy!” clappers
