STYLE FILE: The couple bought mix-and-match lavender ties and pocket squares for their ushers.

GIRL TALK: Flower girls Sydney and Trinity’s lilac dresses kicked off the purple parade. They had a blast, says Erica, “But Sydney barely made it down the aisle since she dropped all of her rose petals before she hit the guest chairs!”

FLOWER POWER: The greens at Daniel Island Club are so pristine, a simple cascade of white and pale purple rose petals was more than enough to dress the aisle.

WHAT A TREAT: Tables covered in bold purple linens were topped with purple stock, fuchsia roses, purple blazing star, and white lilies by OK Florist. Erica’s mother, aunt, and cousins made miniature “cake” favors from stacked cookies they iced together.

Georgia residents Erica Harris and Nathan Tuggle were after Southern hospitality for their Big Day. “We love the atmosphere, history, food, and weather,” says Erica of choosing the Lowcountry and Daniel Island Club for their wedding locale and venue. When it came to a palette, she and Nathan—who teamed up to tackle about 40 percent of the wedding planning themselves—went with bold eggplant, lavender, olive green, and gray, a combination they found on Pinterest. Karen Porreca of Simply Eventful Charleston stepped in to style and coordinate the affair, including the ceremony dominated by shades of eggplant, and a reception decked out in the full array of colors—from deep purple linens accented with green here and there to the lavender-lit ballroom, which proved a huge hit. “It was a big dance party from beginning to end,” says Erica.
