High school romances can be so very, very awkward. Take Chapin, South Carolina, natives Lindsay and Tyler, for example. “He claims he charmed me when I fell up the stairs to our Spanish class and he ‘helped’ me,” says Lindsay. Truth: ‘Help’ in Tyler-speak back then apparently translated to laughing and pointing at a red-faced Lindsay. She got back at him, though. “When he texted me every single day to ask ‘What’s out Spanish homework?’ I played hard to get. It was just his way of starting a conversation with me, but I had him figured out the whole time.” Eight years later, the longtime couple was living in Charleston when they found themselves at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens one afternoon. “As we were walking through the gardens, it started pouring so we found the cutest little gazebo to wait out under, and that’s when he got down on one knee.” Lindsay says. After she replied with a soggy “Yes” (and the skies had cleared a bit), they wandered on and happened upon the Carriage House there. “We knew it was where we would tie the knot,” says Lindsey. Months later they did just that.
Since Lindsay is in the wedding industry herself (she’s the lead florist at Branch Design Studio), you know the whole affair is a knockout. Add Samantha Anderson Events to the equation and you’ve got a romantic aesthetic that’s giving us all of the feels. Intrigued? See below.
