Lacie Thompson & Michael White

July 2, 2016

They say that communication is key, and Michael White and Lacie Thompson’s love story proves just that. After being introduced by mutual pals, Pineville, South Carolina, native Michael and Goose Creek-raised Lacie began chatting off and on over social media. “Small conversations turned into hours and hours of talking everyday,” says Lacie. “Within the first few conversations, we knew we were destined for marriage and a lifetime together.” Nearly two years after the pair began dating, a Fourth of July bash proved the perfect opportunity for Michael to seal the deal. With more than 100 friends and family looking on, Michael popped the question first to Lacie, then to her 7-year-old daughter, Jasmine. “He vowed to have her heart, and asked if he could marry her mother,” recalls Lacie of Michael’s second proposal of the day. With Jasmine’s blessing in the bag, the happy couple will wed July 1, 2017, at the Omar Shrine Temple in Mount Pleasant.
