Kristina & Michael | Engagement Session

Here’s the thing: Charleston’s in the tropics, more or less. And here in the jungle, it rains from time to time, which can put a damper on a portrait sesh out and about if you don’t plan well. The easy fix? Hiring pros like Justin and Amanda from The Happy Bloom and having a flexible schedule. As for the former, The Happy Bloomers know what areas of downtown dry out the fastest, where you can easily bolt out from cover to snap great shots, and how to get to the most iconic Charleston elements—cobblestone streets, pastel stucco buildings, waterfront parks, and more—in a snap. And as for the latter, Boston residents Kristina and Michael built some backup time into their recent visit here to scout for their 2019 wedding at the Legare Waring House, which worked great when their e-session with Justin and Amanda had to be rescheduled a few times thanks to a few days of showers. When the skies cleared and the quartet hit the town, you’d never have known there were any bumps in the road. With Kristin in that fits-like-a-glove sweater dress, siren-red nails, and leopard heels (oh, yeah, kitten!), everything was gold. Enjoy the peek, take note of all the cool spots they hit, and join us in wishing the Bean Towners a happy upcoming wedding!
