Kelly & Jeff | The Gadsden House

If Kelly and Jeff’s relationship beginning was to have a theme song, it would have to be “With a Little Help by My Friends” by The Beatles. The two were introduced by way of mutual friends (hint, this is where the music comes in) and although that is how they started out, in the “friend zone,” they quickly realized that their connection was so much more. Their few years-long courtship culminated during a November proposal in New York City as the twosome were strolling home from The Rockefeller ice skating rink. Jeff asked Kelly for her hand in marriage in front of the Love Sculpture—too precious—and the smitten Ohio natives set about planning their Big Day in the Holy City. And although the night of their engagement was certainly a memorable one, their falls nuptials at The Gadsden House take the (wedding) cake. The bride knew she wanted a happy-filled celebration free that exuded southern charm and that it did. Ceremony programs with a pastel rendering of The French Huguenot Church welcomed all, his and hers signature drinks wet whistles during the cocktail hour, while pineapple place card holders, a gilded confection by Ashley Bakery, and an alfresco dance floor set the stage for a reception that had their thirty guests jumping for joy. And we can’t forget their darling pooch, Hunter, who made appearances in both the ceremony and reception. Sending wags and well wishes to this newly-founded family of three.
