When high school athletes, Shelby and William, met on the sidelines, fate intervened. The pair dated for six years before William got down on one knee at the Battery in downtown Charleston. After carefully planning the Big Day, the couple exchanged vows at Middleton Place’s Butterfly Lakes with a reception in the Pavilion to follow. They now reside in Mount Pleasant.
