High school sweethearts Thomas and Tess met at Bishop England, and though they parted ways for college (with Thomas going to The Citadel and Tess to Clemson), they reconnected at Tess’s 25th birthday party. After a year of dating long-distance, Tess returned to Charleston to be with Thomas, and he proposed soon after at the Battery. The couple wed at The Citadel’s Summerall Chapel, where Tess’s parents were married, followed by a reception at Country Club of Charleston, where Thomas’s parents had held theirs.
