One of the things about being wedding-obsessed is that we’ve seen (more than) our share of Big Days thrown here in Charleston. So for us to pass on a post to you, it’s got to be an event that was...
John, a firefighter and paramedic, and Caitlin, a fourth grade teacher, were set up by a friend of John’s one night at Mex 1 Coastal Cantina. Caitlin eventually accepted John’s request for a date, leading to a year-and-a-half-long courtship, during which they got an English bulldog named Henry. After asking Caitlin’s father for permission in a McDonald’s drive-through, John proposed in front of her entire family on a trip to Aruba. The couple wed at the Daniel Island Club, with a gorgeous sunset as dinner was served at the reception.
