Katherine and John became friends while working together at Pane e Vino. Eventually, they began dating, and five years later, while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, John stopped at an overlook and asked Katherine to marry him. The couple wed in San Miguel, Mexico (where the bride’s parents live), and after a traditional ceremony, the wedding party paraded through the streets with a mariachi band.
