Jital was working for a women’s apparel company in Hanoi, Vietnam, when she matched with visiting F&B entrepreneur Jeremy on Bumble. The two maintained a long-distance relationship between New York City and Vietnam and settled in Charleston in 2020, where they opened Indo-Caribbean restaurant Coterie that December. Jeremy asked Jital to marry him while the two were walking through Hampton Park. Their modified multiday Indian wedding included a pre-vow celebration with henna art and choreographed dancing, followed by a ceremony and dinner in the restaurant courtyard.
