Savannah and Jared, both from Walterboro, South Carolina, have known each other for as far back as they can remember. They grew up in the same church (Jared’s father was the pastor) and though their families got together often, Jared didn’t ask Savannah out until after they had graduated college. “We both had spent so much time praying for God’s will in our relationship before we even started dating,” says Savannah, “that I knew I was going to marry him the minute he dropped me off from our first date.” One Saturday they were boating to brunch in Beaufort when he aimed toward Pine Island—much to her chagrin because she was especially hangry that day. When Savannah saw a sign posted on the island that said “Will you be my forever Mrs. Griffith?” her attitude took a turn for the better. Months later, the two hosted their Big Day at Pineland Club Plantation. See more on our blog, The Wedding Row.
