While waiting in line at a Chicago Starbucks, Duncan noticed real estate papers in Hilary’s hand and pretended to be selling a property to get her number. His scheme worked, and five years later, the couple was attending a horse race in Hilary’s native Kentucky when Duncan got down on one knee and proposed. The duo exchanged vows on the Ocean Terrace at Seabrook Island Club and now live in Mount Pleasant.
