Sarah Margaret and Stephen hit it off while teaching at the Barrier Island Environmental Education Center on Seabrook Island in 2013. Two summers later, the couple was at a friend’s house when Stephen led Sarah Margaret to the backyard and proposed beneath a huge live oak hung with candle-lit Mason jars. They said ”I do” at Oak Pointe Plantation on John’s Island overlooking the Stono River.
