In 2013, MUSC assistant professor Erin met SC Department of Natural Resources biologist Eric online, and the two hit it off after a first date at Al Di La. Many cooking and hiking adventures later, Eric surprised Erin at James Island County Park when he set up a tripod, then pulled out a ring, capturing the moment forever. The couple married the following year in an intimate backyard ceremony with close family; friends; and Eric’s beloved cat, Roofus, in attendance. They now reside on James Island.
