Christiana & Bud | Boone Hall Plantation

We’ve got the world of modern dating to thank for this gorgeous celebration at Boone Hall Plantation. Christiana and Bud met on Tinder, and after chatting on the app for a while, they met up for a date. At one point during the conversation, Bud paused and said, “This is my last first date ever.” It may have sounded crazy at the time, but it turns out he was right. A year later, Bud proposed during a surprise vacation in the Carmel Valley of California. When it came time to organize their Charleston nuptials, the bride says she used blogs (including The Wedding Row—it’s what we’re here for!) and social media for ideas, then worked with Boutique Planning to get the details ironed out from afar (the two were living in Park City, Utah, at the time.) Despite the long-distance planning, Christiana and Bud were able to include plenty of personal touches in their Big Day. The bride’s grandmother walked her down the aisle and then went on to spend all night on the dance floor (we can only hope we’re that cool at 93). Oh, and see that colorful cake? Christiana makes funfetti cupcakes for all the special occasions in life, so when she found out that WildFlour Pastry makes a confetti cake, she knew she had to have it at the wedding. “Bud and I ate the whole piece when we cut the cake,” says Christina. In the end, the couple had such a magical time celebrating in Charleston that they decided to move here just a month later. Welcome home, you two.
