Hannah, then a student at the College of Charleston, was introduced to William, a cadet at The Citadel, through mutual friends, sharing a whirlwind summer romance. After they graduated, William proposed at their special place, the Morris Island Lighthouse, where the two had spent many evenings singing Michael Bublé songs.
