Lowcountry natives Stephanie and Chip became fast friends in 2001, but lost touch while she attended graduate school at MUSC and he opened a Kickin’ Chicken restaurant on King Street. After reconnecting in 2019, their romance took off, and Chip proposed during a sunset boat cruise on Charleston Harbor. The couple tied the knot during a small ceremony in the historic chapel at the Church of the Holy Cross on Sullivan’s Island and held a reception at Hibernian Hall with family and friends.
