Lowcountry natives Stephanie and Chip became fast friends in 2001, but lost touch while she attended graduate school at MUSC and he opened a Kickin’ Chicken restaurant on King Street. After reconnecting in 2019, their romance took off, and Chip proposed during a sunset boat cruise on Charleston Harbor.
