On the first day of business school at Georgetown University, Sam caught Leslie’s eye, and the rest is history. The couple bonded over their love of the Carolinas, traveling, and a mutual belief that public policy should benefit everyone. Sam popped the question the day after they adopted their golden retriever/Lab puppy, Stewart, who wore a shirt that read “Marry my dad?” Their wedding ceremony, officiated by Sam’s father, was held on the lawn of the Creek Club at I'On overlooking the marsh.
