Preston Johnson & Cara Scott

February 19, 2021

Having grown up on James Island, Preston pulled Cara headfirst into life in the Lowcountry after she moved to Charleston following college graduation. The pair spent countless days out on their boat, fishing, and hiking. On their fourth annual Valentine’s Day trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Preston dropped to his knee at an overlook of the valley during a scenic drive. The two were wed at the Historic Rice Mill in a last-minute indoor ceremony due to the cold, staying warm on the dance floor all night.
