Meg Sawyer & Richard Doelling

April 27, 2019

Meg and Richard had originally planned to get married in Virginia, but after Meg’s father was diagnosed with cancer, the couple decided to move the ceremony to the historic and rustic Bowens Island Restaurant, which was closer to her parents’ home. Although her father passed away a few weeks before the ceremony, Meg and Richard’s wedding remained a celebration of unity, love, and life. Meg’s mother walked her down the aisle, and a restaurant patron who yelled “Go, girl!” warmed Meg’s heart and spread laughter throughout the crowd. The newlyweds danced the night away with family and friends, starting to heal together while surrounded by loved ones.
