During their junior year at North Carolina State University, Maggie and Matthew were introduced by a mutual friend. Over the next three years, they continued their relationship in Raleigh, North Carolina, until one day out at a park with their dog, Harper, Matthew surprised Maggie with a proposal. (She turned to show him a photo she’d taken of their pup and there he was on bended knee.)
