Lydia and Nicholas, both Charleston natives, were longtime friends before starting a relationship in college. Christmas Eve 2017 was a memorable one, as Nicholas got down on one knee and popped the question before a surprise engagement party with family. The sound of a bagpiper playing “Highland Cathedral” filled the Grand Pavilion at Wild Dunes Resort while Lydia walked down the aisle to exchange vows with Nicholas.
