Jonathan met fellow James Island native Kim during a chance encounter through his work as a pest control specialist, and the two soon became inseparable. During a Thanksgiving gathering in 2021, Jonathan dropped to one knee to propose to the delight of surrounding family members. The couple were married outside the Cooper River Room at Waterfront Park against a marsh backdrop, followed by a cocktails and charcuterie reception.
