The two spent as much time together as possible between their different work schedules, and after an 11-month courtship John proposed to Cassy while on a fishing trip in Port St. Joe, Florida. Despite rain showers, the pair held their wedding on the large covered porch at Pepper Plantation in Awendaw, celebrating their reception with close friends and family.
