Roper Hospital ER nurse Cassy and excavation expert John met through mutual friends, having a first date eating breakfast at Chick-fil-A after one of her long night shifts. The two spent as much time together as possible between their different work schedules, and after an 11-month courtship John proposed to Cassy while on a fishing trip in Port St. Joe, Florida. Despite rain showers, the pair held their wedding on the large covered porch at Pepper Plantation in Awendaw, celebrating their reception with close friends and family.
