Jess Vande & Robin Goode

November 28, 2020

Six months into dating, Robin was diagnosed with breast cancer, postponing the couple’s plans to move from New York to Charleston, where Jess went to college. After unknowingly making appointments to view engagement rings on the same day, Jess proposed during a beach trip to Long Island. The couple married in their new hometown of Charleston during a ceremony officiated by both of their fathers and witnessed by more than 100 family and friends via Zoom. They celebrated with a four-course meal prepared by local chef BJ Dennis, before being whisked away to the Dewberry hotel in a pedicab.
