Caroline Hull & Mason Walter

September 21, 2024

After a chance encounter on a cruise ship during high school, Lowcountry native Caroline, now a wedding and special event planner, and Mason, a pilot, dated long distance for the remainder of high school and college. Eight years after their first meeting, Mason, who had moved to Charleston post-graduation, asked Caroline to marry him during a sunset stroll on Sullivan’s Island before whisking her away to a surprise engagement party at The Boathouse at Breach Inlet. The West Ashley residents were wed at Old Wide Awake Plantation against a backdrop of centuries-old oak trees, celebrating their nuptials with a garden party-style reception.
