Tibby, owner of local hair tinsel business The Sparkle Bar, met Elysium sales rep Brad on the dating app Plenty of Fish, and they got to know each other during the pandemic. Brad caught the surfing bug after a few lessons with Tibby, both spending as much time as possible hitting the waves locally and vacationing in Surf City, North Carolina. On Christmas Eve 2022, Brad surprised Tibby with a proposal on her birthday during brunch at her aunt and uncle’s country club in Fairfax, Virginia. The wedding ceremony took place on the lawn of Alhambra Hall, after which the couple, who call Mount Pleasant home, moved inside for a full-blown disco party.
