Anthony White Jr. & Clarisse Garcia

August 5, 2023
Having taken jobs as basketball coaches at Charleston Southern University in 2021, Clarisse and Anthony locked eyes while getting their school ID cards, bonding over athletic mentorship and sports like golf and bowling. The two started dating in late 2021, and in May 2023, while on a trip to Indianapolis to visit his family, Anthony asked Clarisse to be his wife. In lieu of a formal wedding, the couple eloped in an intimate Folly Beach ceremony that August, exchanging personalized vows and rings. The Summerville residents had a quiet dinner at Tides on Folly Beach, before departing for their honeymoon on Kiawah Island.
