Abby & Patrick | Alhambra Hall

Do you know about Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant? That two-story, meeting house on Charleston Harbor that’s tucked away in the Old Village? Let’s let these shots of Abby and Patrick’s wedding introduce you to it, one of those awesome local secrets that, well, generally only locals like these two know about. Before Patrick had even proposed to Abby, he checked on the site’s availability (it’s run by the city and when they start taking bookings each year, area residents tend to camp out to get their pick of wedding weekends), because it has all the small-town charm, water and marsh views, and grand oaks that one could hope for. When their Big Day this past February came, it was a perfectly crisp 75 degrees, and Abby headed down the aisle to an acoustic rendition of “Welcome to Jurassic World”, a nod to the movie they saw on their first date. Five minutes later, the vows were done (friends say it was the shortest ceremony they’d ever witnessed), and all headed to the Hall’s porches for the cocktail hour that preceded a sit-down dinner that was beautifully designed by Yoj Events. Scroll on to see all of the imagery from Shannon Oleksak.
