Trim a small rectangle of the patterned paper and fold it over the top edge of the benne wafer bag. Adhere with double-sided tape.You will need: Bag of benne wafers Patterned paper Paper cutter* Double-sided tape Gift box ¼ inch-wide grosgrain ribbon Cardstock “Bon Voyage” sticker * You can substitute scissors for a paper cutter. Trim a small rectangle of the patterned paper and fold it over the top edge of the benne wafer bag. Adhere with double-sided tape. Place in box and close lid. Wrap the grosgrain ribbon around the width of the box and hold in place using double-sided tape. Center the “Bon Voyage” sticker on a rectangle of cardstock. Using double-sided tape, affix to box top and seal package shut. Optional: Include the story of benne wafers (or the recipe) in box.
